Interior modifications have been kept simple, with the addition of a set of Bride bucket seats and Takata three-inch safety harnesses. Defi-Link Meter BF gauges have been installed, daisy-chained into a Defi-Link Control Unit II.
"We wanted to be the first with '08 parts via our Agency Power line," says Mermelstein. "We had six weeks to work in cooperation with Cusco to get the car ready. In the end, this was the most rewarding project car we've ever built. The build itself was the first time Vivid Racing really had to rally together. We all pitched in time during the day, after hours and well into the night to get it done. I'm proud of the team and all who made it happen."
Vivid has since started work on a new Lancer Evolution X project. Another newly released platform means another rush to develop and manufacture aftermarket go-fast parts. We can't wait to see what comes up this time around.
