You're looking at the weakest car we've ever dynoed. It would take 12 of these just to equal the output of the NSX that just won USCC 2006. It is called the i, and it is Mitsubishi's newest JDM-only kei-car. With a rear-mounted, turbocharged, 0.66-liter engine that makes a whopping 55 wheel-hp, the i generates a dyno curve that resembles a couple of fallen eyelashes. But it's reasonably quick, gets 43.3mpg, and, most surprisingly, attracts the attention of young women. Next month, we'll tell you how it drives and how we've exploited its odd looks and charm.
