Recently freed from its Blue Oval shackles, Cosworth Inc. now offers CNC bolt-on cylinder heads for import applications like the Subaru EJ25 and EJ20, Nissan VQ35, BMW MINI Cooper, Ford Duratec, Mazda MZR, Honda K20 and Mitsubishi 4G63 engines. Cosworth's Big Valve Cylinder heads are built from new O.E. castings and feature flow engineered port designs, larger stainless-steel intake valves and Inconel exhaust valves, dual valve springs and titanium retainers. Each head is CNC ported and hand assembled, with many featuring reshaped combustion chambers and de-shrouded valves. Best of all, there is no core exchange needed.

Even domestic companies are jumping into the drift market bonanza. SPC Performance of Colorado now offers a Nissan 240SX Drift Suspension tuning kit that includes adjustable front and rear control arms and urethane front-upper suspension mounts to allow full tuning of front and rear caster and camber angles. SPC's kit also uses 80 durometer natural rubber bushings to maximize precision feel and feedback to the driver, without the NVH issues of metal bushings.

This time around, someone finally saw the need for an aftermarket fuel-delivery system for Subaru's popular WRX. The Perrin fuel rail is a fully redesigned system, rather than a modification of existing parts. Perrin claims that the kit divides fuel evenly between both banks of cylinders in the boxer engine through the fuel pressure regulator. Fuel line diameter is increased and the stainless steel fuel line that's used is extremely resistant to corrosion. They're available for both the WRX and the STi (the two kits do differ substantially).
AEM has changed its complete line of open element filters for its new reusable DRYFLOW Synthetic filters. The DRYFLOW synthetic filter material doesn't require oiling, which means no oil in the intake tract to damage air-flow meters. According to AEM, the synthetic material is more resistant to bending and crushing and offers similar filtration and flow capabilities to cotton gauze. AEM offers DRYFLOW filters in all of the original cotton-gauze filter sizes for an easy upgrade solution on older style AEM intake systems.

BDL Industries showed off more than a few innovative products for Honda's popular K-series engine this year, including a high-flow fuel rail and fuel pressure regulator, a billet throttle body, and a "vacuum spacer" that eliminates the need for vacuum t-offs. The spacer simply fits in between the throttle body and the intake manifold and comes with all fittings, plugs and hardware. The throttle body accepts all factory sensors and is available in a variety of sizes, from 65mm to 100mm. Their new fuel pressure regulator is able to withstand 300 psi, and is adjustable from 20 psi. The unit sports a vacuum port for boosted and N/A applications.
